I can not thank The Illinois Law Group enough. I was in a pretty bad situation. For many years I had been very successful with my real estate investments but then the market turned. I had 9 rental properties that were completely under water and were costing me thousands of dollars a month to keep afloat. I just couldn’t do it anymore. I was told I had to file bankruptcy by many people but The Illinois Law Group saved me from having to do so. They told me that I had other options, they told me they could represent me in my foreclosure law suits and help me sell my homes through a short sale. They said that this process was a little more tedious but in the long run was better for me. They were right. Today I am free from all of my properties and I didn’t have to file bankruptcy. If it wasn’t for The Illinois Law Group I would have filed bankruptcy and it would have been a long time before I could get back on my feet. Now my future is much brighter and I have had a lot of burdens lifted off my back.

Working with The Illinois Law Group taught me a huge lesson in life. I have always heard the saying, “ you get what you pay for” but in my case it was what I didn’t pay for that hurt me. Like many other people that work with short sale attorneys I thought that it was a free service. I had a friend that was a realtor who was helping me short sale my home. He referred me to an attorney who was going to handle the legal aspect of my short sale. She (the attorney) told me that I didn’t have to pay her any upfront fees. I thought this was great because I had talked to a few attorneys who wanted upfront payments. After a few months I received a foreclosure summons in the mail, so I called my attorney and asked her if she could help me. I also asked if she could make sure that I was not served a deficiency judgement on my short sale. She told me to take a hike basically and all she would do was submit a short sale package to the bank and do my closing. She was not looking out for my legal interest at all, like a lawyer should. Because I was served with a foreclosure sale I had to hire an attorney who knew what they were doing. So I called the Attorneys at The Illinois Law Group. They handled my foreclosure lawsuit and mad sure I wasn’t foreclosed on and they handles my short sale and made sure the deficiency judgement was waived. In the end I had to pay them for the serviced but it was well worth it. I wish I had done it from the beginning, because like my father always said, “You get what you pay for.” If I had just paid The Illinois Law Group from the beginning and had not tried to save a little money I would have saved myself a lot of headaches. I came to The Illinois Law Group with a heavy heart. I had exhausted all options to save my home and was going down the path of foreclosure. About 3 years ago I purchased my home and life was great. But then the economy turned and I lost my job. I tried to find one that paid me the same as my prior job but I was unsuccessful. After months of struggling to make ends meet, I tried to sell my home but I couldn’t because I owed so much more then my home was worth.
